Portico Hills is a vineyard we love to work with for our Rhone label, Terre et Sang. It is a Rhone wine lovers dream vineyard. The vineyard is a lattice of tightly spaced rows spread across steep slopes of mixed sandy loam with veins of limestone. The nights are outstandingly cold and the summer days are long and hot. The vineyard produces bold and concentrated wines with incredible minerality and lots of acidity. The plan when working with this vineyard was always to use a little bit of the Grenache to make a very classic Rosé, and boy, we are glad we did. Our Rosé from Portico is elegant, full of finesse and timeless.
